Award Opportunities
Excellence in Business Ethics Education Award
The Linda Trevino Excellence in Business Ethics Program Fund Endowment was established to “enrich the Tarriff Center for Business Ethics and Social Responsibility in the Smeal College of Business by enhancing efforts to connect the business world and academia.” Guidelines for the endowment include “creating incentives for the effective integration of business ethics and social responsibility in the classroom, which will be recognized with an annual teaching award”. To encourage integration of business ethics and social responsibility throughout the curriculum, the Excellence in Business Ethics Education award recognizes faculty who incorporate these topics into an undergraduate or graduate course.
This award annually recognizes a single member of the Smeal faculty whose recent innovation in an undergraduate or graduate course shows effective integration of content related to business ethics or social responsibility. This award acknowledges faculty who provide students with the technical skills and knowledge required for ethical leadership in a particular industry or for strategically responding to social responsibilities related to a specific functional area of business.
