Institutional & Social Change

Research conducted on the topic of societal and institutional sustainability issues.

Institutions and society may respond to sustainability challenges with new awareness and change. However, significant shifts require new framing of problems and solutions as well as accessible engagement structures. Smeal researchers investigate how communities and institutions respond to social entrepreneurship, social movements, international norms, and developmental initiatives.
