Scott Golla serves as Director, Corporate Environmental at Howmet Aerospace in Pittsburgh where he leads the Corporate Environmental function and sets strategic direction on environmental sustainability targets. Prior to Howmet, he was the Americas Sustainability Lead for Philips (a healthcare technology company). At Philips, his responsibilities included leading and coordinating sustainability performance improvement and integration across operating locations in an integrated supply chain model. He was the Global Program Manager for an ambitious Circular Materials Management program focused on a zero-waste strategy and moving towards fully circular operations. As part of a passionate and engaged team, he also served in the Sustainability Business Partner roles for the Global Services & Solutions Delivery function and the North American Market. Scott also supported eco-design, access to care, circular economy, climate action, and sustainability reporting programs.

Prior to Philips, Scott worked in corporate sustainability leadership roles at three other multinationals (Westinghouse {Toshiba}, US Steel, and BNY Mellon), and was a management consultant, focused on environment and sustainability for over 15 years, serving all industries. He has developed many supplier codes of conduct, sustainability awareness & engagement content and programs, ESG investment thought leadership, Design for Sustainability integration, supplier diversity and supplier responsibility programs, related management systems and data solutions, and integrated sustainability into most corporate functions.

Scott is a frequent supporter of sustainability education at all levels and has mentored student projects and other contributions at Duquesne University, Chatham University, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Pittsburgh, and Avans University (NL). He has a BS in Environmental Resource Management from Penn State and an MBA from Duquesne University. He is a Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP), a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, an A&WMA Fellow, a Competent Communicator, and holds a certificate in Change Management from Cornell University. He’s an active member of many local and international organizations with a focus on the environment and sustainability and has served in many committees, councils, and Board roles in such organizations. Scott is a true champion for building awareness and engagement around ESG topics and deeply integrating sustainability into all functions and decision-making. He is the proud father of three amazing young women.
