Melissa Houpt, University Recruiting & Candidate Care Manager
Melissa Houpt has over 20 years of professional recruiting experience in the aerospace, healthcare, hospitality and oil & gas industries. Her primary focus has been in college recruiting, including STEM tech high school hiring programs, 2-year technical colleges, 4 year universities (bachelor through PhD degrees), diversity, disability and military veterans with her most recent experience leading University Recruiting for GE Healthcare, The Boeing Company and now as the University Recruiting Leader for Siemens Healthineers. She has been a company representative building relationships at colleges and universities nationally.
Melissa has also provided enhanced corporate strategies and collaboration with minority serving institutions, including the Thurgood Marshall College Fund and the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering. She has participated and served as a panelist for global diversity and industry organization events and international missions, such as the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission. She has also participated in diversity conferences including: BEYA, SHPE, NSBE, SWE, ALPHA, ASCEND, GMiS/HENNAC, NABA, AISES, Grace Hopper and SASE. Melissa has served as a judge for the Diversity Scholars case competitions at Penn State University Smeal College of Business and has also sat on their College of Engineering Advisory Board for Engineering Diversity through the Penn State Center of Engineering Outreach.
Melissa grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia and received her undergraduate degree in Economics from Villanova University and earned her MBA from Rosemont College. Melissa lives in Ambler with her husband, Chad, and their three dogs: Juno, Jonesy and Truffles.
