Paula Lisa Wimbush

Lisa Wimbush is an influential and results-driven business partner with a reputation for building and leveraging relationships across an enterprise to drive change and implement solutions.  She has built a reputation for excellence in people management, communications, client management, and team leadership.

Lisa joined Capital One in 2001. She is a Director and currently serves as the Chief of Staff for the Executive Vice President of US Card Operations. She is also the National Network Lead of Capital One’s African American Network, which currently has more than 1200 members in eight states. Her leadership in the area of diversity led to her being named by Diversity MBA Magazine as one of the “2012 Top 100 Under 50 Emerging Diversity Leaders” in corporate America.

During her tenure with Capital One, Lisa has held roles as the Senior Business Risk Officer & Senior Communicator for Capital One’s Corporate Reputation & Governance Division, and as a Senior Communications Manager in the Corporate Affairs Group.

Prior to joining Capital One, Lisa was Vice President, Corporate Communications with Wachovia Corporation. She began her financial services career with Central Fidelity Bank in 1986.

Lisa received her MBA in Marketing from Virginia Commonwealth University and her undergraduate degree in Communications and Sociology from the University of Virginia. She also holds a certificate from the School of Bank Marketing, University of Colorado-Boulder.

Lisa currently resides in Richmond, VA.
