Steven A. Howery

Steven A. Howery, program manager for diversity and inclusive leadership, joined General Electric (GE) in 1999 with the Human Resources Leadership Program (HRLP) at GE Aviation in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 2001, he took a role in Westchester, Ohio working jointly for GE Aviation and GE Energy as the human resources manager for GE Industrial Aeroderivatives (IAD) and GE Aeroderivatives & Package Services (APS) Engineering and Parts. In 2003, Steven moved to Anaheim, California to join GE Financial Assurance as the regional human resources manager for the GE Financial Western Sales Division. In 2004, he moved to Waterford, New York to join GE Advanced Materials as the human resources manager of technology for GE Silicones and three technology organizations within GE Plastics (Color, Noryl, and LNP).

In February of 2006, Steven moved to Fairfield, Connecticut to join GE Corporate in Global Employer of Choice Initiatives as the program manager for diversity and inclusive leadership. In this role, Steven helps to drive diversity and employer of choice initiatives across the company.

He holds a bachelor’s of arts degree in English and a master’s degree in human resources and industrial relations, both from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Steven is married and lives in Milford, Connecticut.
