SCIS Student Recognized Among Spring Senior Awardees
Abigail Hart, supply chain and information systems major, was recently recognized among the spring 2024 senior awardees. She was honored with the Ralph H. Penn State Smeal Team Wins KPMG Ideation Challenge
Smeal College of Business students who are members of the Nittany Lion Consulting Group (NLCG) won the KPMG Ideation Challenge in late February 2024. Smeal's team included: McKenna Schrenk, second-year Supply Chain and Information System major; Hunter Badamo, second-year management information systems and accounting major; Isabella Fernandes, second-year finance major; Colton Shiry, second-year finance major; and Jack McCormack, second-year accounting and finance major. SCIS Student named Finalist for "Academic Heisman"
Olu Fashanu, the starting left tackle for the Penn State football team who is majoring in supply chain and information systems, has been named a finalist for the 2023 William V. Campbell Trophy by the National Football Foundation. The Campbell Trophy, college football’s premier scholar-athlete award, has been called the “Academic Heisman.” Read the full story here.

Supply Chain Management Student Receives Professional Master's Excellence Award
Sungjin Ryu, a graduate student pursuing a master of supply chain management, was awarded the Professional Master’s Excellence Award for his culminating experience in supply chain management. The Professional Master’s Excellence Award recognizes individual student excellence within any graduate program based on the student’s breadth of experience, performance and professional projects or work. SCIS Student Awarded 2023 R. Gene Richter Scholarship
Garrett Callenberger, a supply chain and information systems junior, has been selected as one of six 2023 R. Gene Richter Scholarship recipients. Supported by the R. Gene and Nancy Richter Foundation, the scholarship is offered to students enrolled in an accredited supply chain management program and offers tuition assistance, mentoring, and networking opportunities. Four Smeal Students earn Prestigious Scholarships
Four Penn State Smeal College of Business supply chain students were awarded prestigious scholarships recently at the 119th annual dinner of the Traffic Club of Pittsburgh. Matthew Hinkle, a senior supply chain and information systems major and information systems management minor, Maria Karamanos, a senior supply chain and information systems major and information systems management minor, Reilly McCarthy, a senior supply chain and information systems major, and Emma Scott, a junior supply chain and information systems major and information systems management minor each received a $7,500 scholarship. NASPO Scholarship Recipients
The Center for Supply Chain Research (CSCR) is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2022 National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) Scholarship. Nicholas Marcolongo and McKenna Fritz, both Penn State Smeal College of Business supply chain students, have been selected based on their academic excellence and interest in a career in public procurement.
