Khadija Bingham, Integrated MAcc Class of 2016
If you would have told me years ago that I would be graduating with three degrees, interested in being a CPA and working for the largest public service firm in the world, I would not have believed you. While being at Penn State, so many opportunities have been made available to me and I have been able to exceed all of my expectations that I initially set for myself.
My first semester in the MAcc Program, it took me less than a week to realize how big of a deal MAcc students are to the Big 4. The recruiters understand that only the best students are accepted, and throughout the program we develop into even better leaders than we were before. I leveraged this and successfully interviewed with EY, KPMG and PwC; if it had not been for the MAcc program these successes would not have been possible.
I had the tough task of choosing which firm was the best fit for me, but after much deliberation I decided to go with PwC. Working with PwC was an AMAZING experience. I worked with their Marketing and Sales group, which was an awesome way for me to learn about how PwC gets a lot of their business. During my internship, I had the opportunity to shadow, and meet with many people from different lines of services so that I could easily decide which line of service I wanted to go into. My summer with PwC was filled with not only professional development, but lots of fun as well. I will be returning to for a winter internship with their assurance group and I am beyond excited.
The MAcc program has helped me develop great relationships, and grow into a stronger person. I owe so much of my personal success to this program!
