Derek Deihl graduated in May 2024 and earned B.S. degrees with majors in Finance and Economics and was in the Schreyer Honors College. His student involvement included Marching Blue Band, Ice Hockey Pep Band, Jazz Ensembles, and Smeal Tarriff Center Integrity Advocates. He received the Robert W. “Bear” Koehler Award for Distinguished Service, Department of Economics Undergraduate Award, D’Ambrosio Honors Scholarship, President’s Freshman Award, President Sparks Award, and Evan Pugh Scholar Award.

The George Leland Leffler Scholarship (Outstanding Finance Major)

Dylan Benson graduated in December 2023 and earned a B.S. degree with a major in Finance and a minor in Chinese Language. His student involvement included the Nittany Lion Fund and Happy Valley Venture Capital. He received the Smeal Student Leadership Award and the Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowship. Dylan’s internships were with Heritage Point Partners, Goldman Sachs, and GoBuyside. After graduation, Dylan will be an Investment Banking Analyst at Goldman Sachs.

Emily Hu graduated in May 2024 and earned B.S. degrees with majors in Finance and Economics and a minor in German and was in the Schreyer Honors College. Her student involvement included Leveraged Lion Capital. Emily’s internships were with Bank of America and Lazard Frères & Co. After graduation, Emily will be an Investment Banking Analyst at Lazard Frères & Co.
