In 2023-24, Smeal awarded 509 Finance degrees out of 1,975 total. Smeal ranks in the top 10 U.S. universities for Finance degrees. Faculty taught 18,790 credit hours across 111 sections of 18 courses.

For the 2023-24 academic year, of the 1,975 Smeal undergraduate degrees awarded in the 2023-24 academic year, 509 were Finance majors. This compares to 570 and 440 for the previous two years. (Note: 2023-24 graduation totals include estimates for Summer 2024 graduation)

15 graduating Finance majors were in the Sapphire Leadership Academic Program.

For the number of undergraduate Finance degrees awarded, Smeal consistently ranks in the top 10 of all U.S. universities. Data can be found for the most recent Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) survey. In 2023-24, we offered 18 different undergraduate Finance courses across a total of 111 sections. Department faculty taught a total of 18,790 credit hours.
