Compliance or personal accountability? What’s the difference, and why does it matter?

  • Michelle Darnell, Smeal's director of honor and integrity, shares her perspective on the differences between the Smeal Honor Code and the Penn State Code of Conduct, and why those distinctions are important. Read the story

Treviño co-authors article on why employees act unethically

  • Linda Treviño, distinguished professor of organizational behavior and ethics, and two co-authors recently wrote an article titled “3 Reasons Employees Act Unethically” for the Network for Business Sustainability. Read the story.

Purdum recognized for continued support of MASC initiatives

  • Sue Purdum has been “unmasked” as a winner of a MASCed Marvel Award from the MASC working group. She was singled out “for her supply chain prowess and her unwavering support of the nursing homes and long-term care facilities in Pennsylvania.”

Global Programs announces cancellation of fall education abroad programs

  • Penn State has made the decision to suspend all fall 2020 semester-long study abroad programming.  The move is not an indicator of the University’s plans for the fall semester, which will be announced by President Eric Barron on Monday. Read the story.
