An update on Penn State parking permits
Just a friendly reminder that all parking permits will continue to work through July 31. Teri Ault and her team will be providing communication in the next few weeks on how these permits may be exchanged for new permits.
Two intended Smeal students included in latest PLA class
Two students who intend to pursue majors in the Smeal College of Business have been chosen as 2021 members of the Presidential Leadership Academy. Madelyn Fisher and Maansi Shah are among 30 first-year students chosen from a pool of 161 applicants. Read the story.
Faculty research: Effectively managing complex supply chain relationships could provide value
A team of researchers led by Smeal’s Stefan Wuyts, professor of marketing and director of the Institute for the Study of Business Markets, found that companies that effectively manage supply chain relationships might be able to not just minimize risks, but even uncover strategic opportunities in these relationships. The research was featured in a Penn State News story.

Research conducted by Aparna Joshi, Arnold Professor of Management, and Vilmos Misangyi, professor of strategic management, BNY Mellon Fellow and chair of the Department of Management and Organization, revealed that endorsements of incoming female CEOs might actually shorten their tenures.
