Leaders Celebration

Leaders Celebration event page

Welcome.

While we wish we could be in person this year to celebrate the impact of your philanthropy at the Smeal College of Business, we are pleased to welcome you to our virtual celebration webpage. You’ll find an update on the college as well as remarks from two students and a faculty member who are benefiting from the generosity of our donors.

You will also find a link to Smeal’s new brand anthem, as well as some other highlights of what your giving makes possible for our students, faculty, and staff.

Thank you for visiting the site. I am grateful for each of you and for all you do to make Smeal a better place.

We hope to give you even more reasons to celebrate in the months to come and look forward to celebrating our success in the A Greater Penn State for 21st Century Excellence fundraising campaign at its conclusion on June 30, 2022.

Sincerely,

Charles Whiteman Signuture

Voices of Gratitude

"While neither one of my parents went to college, they both aspired for me to take advantage of the opportunities that college can provide, and they are ecstatic that I chose Penn State to further my education. Penn State is important to my family because of the sense of community that the University brings and the high level of education that that the school has to offer. This year, I am in my second year of the Smeal MBA program, and as I begin to look towards graduation, I am most thankful for the financial support that I have been given."

– Emilee Yaeger, '22 MBA

"Professorships or faculty chairs offer more than a practical benefit enhancing our scholarly work — although that is certainly important. It’s a honor to hold such a position, and it creates a personal bond between the donor and the beneficiary. As I reflect more deeply on what effects the King Family Early Career Professorship has had on me, I can honestly say that the most striking influence has been a renewed feeling of pride and privilege to serve and carry forward the scholarly mission of Penn State."

– Dr. Eva Steiner, King Family Early Career Professor in Real Estate

"While pushing myself through the uncertain stages of college, finances can be a dark cloud looming over this otherwise exciting journey. Paying for tuition and other school expenses has weighed heavily on my mind, especially given the current state of the world during the Covid-19 pandemic. With the help of the Morgan Family Trustee Scholarship, I have been able to see the beginning of a rainbow within those clouds. I am eternally grateful to the Morgan Family for their generosity in helping me achieve my dreams."

Thank You

Thank you for everything that you have made possible for our students, faculty, and staff through your gifts to Penn State.

We appreciate you taking the time to browse Smeal’s Leaders Celebration website. We hope you’ve enjoyed hearing from our speakers and learning more about the powerful impact of philanthropy at Smeal.

We’re optimistic that, next year, we can gather together at the Business Building to celebrate your impact at Smeal.

If you are feeling inspired to make an additional gift to the University before the end of the A Greater Penn State for 21st Century Excellence fundraising campaign, please know that my team and I are ready to help you enhance your Penn State legacy.

On behalf of everyone at Smeal, thank you again!

For the Glory,
