Penn State/ACY Alternative Inflation Index

The Penn State/ACY Alternative Inflation Index was first introduced in the research paper by Brent Ambrose, Ed Coulson, and Jiro Yoshida, and it incorporates their Marginal Rent Index, which captures a different measure of house price changes based on marginal rents.

Each month, we will update the new Penn State/ACY Alternative Inflation Index and compare it to the most recent CPI and PCE inflation measures released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics and the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
