Penn State Team Wins Boston College Case Competition
Penn State Smeal College of Business sent a team of four to the 4th annual Boston College 2022 Corcoran Center Case Competition held by the Boston College Joseph E. Corcoran Center for Real Estate and Urban Action. Emma Shaw, Alycia Fournier, Lauren Knopf, and Hope Urbanovsky took 1st place out of 31 teams.
Penn State Team Places 2nd in Mulroy Real Estate Challenge
Penn State Smeal College of Business sent two teams to the 13th Annual Mulroy Real Estate Challenge, hosted by Villanova University's Daniel M. DiLella Center for Real Estate on April 1st, 2022 in Philadelphia, PA. One Penn State team placed 2nd, claiming $3,000 in prize money. The team consisted of senior real estate students, Thomas Bennett, Colin Morrison, Alex Karanikolas and junior, Collin Stevenson. Penn State's second team, which made it to the semi final round, included senior, Ty Dillman and juniors, Brennan Pearson, Mike Ro, and Jared Hicks.

Advanced Realty Lecture Brings Packed Room - Featuring Jason A. Borrelli, Principal for Exeter Property Group
On Thursday, February 7th, Jason Borrelli spoke to a standing room only crowd of eager students wanting to hear more about his career and the industrial industry. Borelli was able to captivate the students by thoroughly walking them through the creation of Exeter Property Group and the exact types of deals and money that was involved in the creation.
Case Competition Teams Wins Maryland RE Competition
A team of three undergraduate students from the Penn State Smeal College of Business combined to take first place in the 2018 Colvin Case Study Challenge, a national intercollegiate real estate competition hosted by the University of Maryland’s Colvin Institute of Real Estate Development.

Eric Jacobs, Chief Development Officer for Marriott International, was the featured speaker for the Real Estate Boot Camp on Friday, September 28th. Mr. Jacobs discussed hotel ownership including investing, deal structuring, asset management, as well as brand management. He also provided information on career opportunities available in the hotel industry.
40 Smeal Real Estate Boot Camp Students Attend ARGUS Certification Course
40 Smeal Real Estate Boot Camp students attended a weekend ARGUS Enterprise certification course on October 21 & 21. Upon completion of the course, the students were awarded one-credit for their participation, and are eligible to sit for the ARGUS certification exam.
