Service to Smeal Award Guidelines

Number of Awards

Up to two recipients can be chosen each year, assuming the nominees are approved by the selection committee.

Eligibility

Smeal alumni who are not current At-Large Directors of the Smeal Alumni Society Board.

Criteria

Nominees should demonstrate outstanding service to the Smeal College of Business through volunteer activities and/or efforts that enrich the college community. Nominees must be a graduate of the Smeal College of Business. At-Large Directors of the Smeal Alumni Society Board are not eligible.

Nominations

Nominations are solicited from Smeal faculty, staff, students, and alumni.

Selection Committee

The selection committee includes members of the Smeal Alumni Society Board and Smeal’s Director of Alumni Relations.

Timeline

Nominations are due by Friday, October 11, 2024. The award is presented to the recipient in a ceremony during the annual Smeal Alumni Awards program held each spring.
