Diversity Leadership Award Guidelines

Number of Awards
One award is given each year, assuming a nominee is approved by the selection committee.

Criteria
Nominees should demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusion through their professional and/or volunteer accomplishments. Their achievements should support the college's goal of being a diverse and mutually supportive community that provides a climate of sensitivity, open-mindedness, and respect. Nominees must be a graduate of the Smeal College of Business. At-Large Directors of the Smeal Alumni Society Board are not eligible. 

Nominations
Nominations are solicited from Smeal faculty, staff, students, and alumni. 

Selection Committee
The selection committee includes members of the Smeal Alumni Society Board and Smeal’s Director of Alumni Relations.

Timeline
Nominations are due by Friday, October 11, 2024. The award is presented to the recipient in a ceremony during the annual Smeal Alumni Awards program held each spring.
