2020 Outstanding Young Professional Award

Laura Cushing is a manager of product management for Amazon in London, UK, and has more than seven years of international product management, strategy, and finance experience in the technology and financial services sectors across the United States and Europe.

As a student, Cushing was actively involved with and held leadership positions in Penn State Marketing Association and Penn State Finance Society. Upon graduation, she pursued a direction in line with her finance degree and spent three years working in corporate finance across the US east coast.

Wanting to embark on an international career and explore a path which better harmonized her finance and psychology background, Cushing attended the IESE Business School’s Full-Time MBA Program in Barcelona, Spain. After graduating, she joined Amazon’s MBA Program which provided rotations in Europe. She started her Amazon career in Munich in 2017, managing several consumables categories. She then moved to a rotation in London, managing shopping experience website features and launches for the European consumables business.

Cushing is co-president of the Women@Amazon affinity group, supporting chapters worldwide to attract, develop and retain women in tech and non-tech roles. Outside of work, she is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Community.
