Greg Reed ‘91 is Group CEO of Places for People Ltd, the largest Social Enterprise in the UK. Through its more than 20 award-winning affordable and supported housing, regeneration and development, property investment, property management, leisure, and procurement companies, PfP owns or manages 220,000 homes, operates 157 leisure facilities, employs over 10,000 colleagues, has assets greater than £5.0bn, and will deliver 35,000 new homes over the next 10 years.

Greg is a purpose-driven senior executive who has led major finance, partnership, marketing, customer service, and commercial functions in international listed companies.

Before Places for People, Greg served as UK CEO for international home assistance business HomeServe Plc, a role for which he was recruited following a 15-plus year career in international banking where he held senior positions with Bank of America and RBS Group.

During Greg’s time at HomeServe, the business was recognised as one of the best places to work in the UK three times. In 2020, HomeServe was admitted to the FTSE100 and on September 16, 2020, Glassdoor named Greg as one of the top five highest rated CEOs in the UK during the COVID-19 Crisis.

Greg is passionate about helping to solve the UK’s housing crisis and prior to taking on his role at Places for People, was a non-executive director with Clarion Housing Group, the UK’s largest housing association, for five years and also chaired Clarion Futures, their charitable foundation.

A native of Smyrna, Delaware, Greg graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Batchelor of Science in Finance and then received a Juris Doctor from Delaware Law School. Greg lives in Edinburgh, UK with his childhood sweetheart Melissa, their three children, and his Border Collie, Piper.
