Darrell K. Williams '91 holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Hampton Institute (now University); a master of military arts and science from the Army Combined and General Staff College in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; and a master’s in national security strategy from the National War College, Fort McNair, Washington, D.C.
In his more than 37 years of military service, Williams engaged in global supply chain management, executive leadership, education and training, security assistance, financial management, public speaking, and international risk management.
As director of the U.S. Department of Defense’s Agency for Global Logistics, he led more than 26,000 people, generated more than $40 billion in annual revenue, and managed nine supply chains.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Williams’ unit provided more than $1.2 billion of personal protective equipment support to the military services and other agencies of the federal government such as the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
Williams has lived in and provided logistics support throughout the continental United States and served more than 11 years in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
