Designed for non-Smeal majors, the Smeal College Business Fundamentals Certificate from Penn State's internationally ranked College of Business offers the fundamental skills and knowledge needed to enhance your degree and prepare you for the future.
The Penn State Smeal College Business Fundamentals Certificate is comprised of three prerequisite courses, four core courses, and one business elective.
Curriculum DetailsBegin taking any business core or elective course once the prerequisite(s) for that specific course have been completed. It is not necessary to complete all three prerequisite courses before starting the prescribed courses.
Complete four core courses, and then pick from one of two electives.
B A 301: Financial markets and institutions, investments, and financial decision making in organizations
B A 302: An overview of supply chain management focusing on the strategic importance of source, make, and deliver processes
B A 303: Customer behavior, service/product development, pricing and promotion in diverse markets
B A 304: Key concepts for the design and management of organizations
B LAW 243: Basic policies underlying individual and contractual rights in everyday society
